Giuseppina Rao

Ciao! I am Giuseppina (Josephine, Giusi for short) Rao, the school director. I moved to Udine from Sicily years ago, to study at the University. I really enjoyed this town, and I decided to live here. I got my "Laurea in Conservazione dei beni culturali" (a 4-years University degree in Italian literature and history of art) at the Faculty of Literature and Philosophy, University of Udine. After my degree, I have been working as a teacher in an Italian language Summer school for foreign people. After this very important experience, I decided to expand my knowledge in this field, and in 2002 I got, with full marks, the ITALS Master (a two-years master in teaching and promoting Italian language and culture to foreign people, at the Venice University Ca' Foscari).I firmly believe that, to effectively teach Italian as a second language, the good teacher does not need to know only the language and the social and cultural reality of the country. The quality teacher must have a solid professional education. Constant updating and studying are the basis of the good teacher, which scrupulously and carefully exploits all the most modern and advanced learning strategies. This is why, during your Italian language course, you will always be able to rely on teacher's quality and expertise. And this is why this will be an unforgettable experience! giuseppina.rao@italianoespresso.it
