CELI and CIC certifications
We offer some training courses to prepare for Italian language proficiency examinations.
These courses, developed for individuals or on request for small groups, are designed to supply a full training to guarantee a positive result in facing the different levels of the CELI (certificate of knowledge of the Italian language) and the CIC (certificate of knowledge of the Italian business language) exams. Both certificates are consigned by the University of Perugia (member of ALTE).
CELI and CIC certificates are the official titles recognized by the Italian State, on the base of a convention drawn up with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and by The European Council, as part of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The CELI Levels are five: CELI UNO-A2; CELI DUE-B1; CELI TRE-B2; CELI QUATTRO-C1; CELI CINQUE-C2. The CIC levels are two: CIC INTERMEDIATE (B1) AND CIC ADVANCED (C1).
Each level of CELI and CIC is autonomous and complete. It allows the student to obtain the title that certifies: the level of communicative and linguistic competences adequate to the specific social and professional context of study. From the first level to the fifth these competences are progressively higher.
To obtain certification for any of the CELI or CIC levels the student has to pass the relative exam. Each exam has written and oral comprehension and written and oral test. The exams take place at the University of Perugia and at other fixed Institutes.
Trainig course to sit for the CELI and/or CIC examinations
The Italiano Espresso school prepares the student, for all the different CELI and CIC levels, and forwards and follows all the necessary documents for application up to the receiving of the relative certificate. The CELI exam takes place at the same time all over the world twice a year, in June and November. The CIC exam takes place in June. The school is a member of the examining committee of the Regional Authority of Reference. To enrol in any of the different CELI or CIC exams, a fee of 100€ is required.
Individual courses can be activated at any time of the year; schedule and times are chosen by the student on enrollment. The course program is personalized on the basis of the student level and interests (minimum 10 hours).

These courses are intended only to prepare the student to the exam and can't be a replacement for an intensive language course; on the contrary, an intensive Italian course can be fruitfully completed by one of these courses to sit for the CELI or CIC exam.
"Quality business" package: CIC exam
Two weeks of full immersion with intensive
lessons geared to preparing students to pass the certified CIC
intermediate or CIC advanced exams. Ideal for companies and academic
groups. As well as linguistic workshops, meetings with professionals
from various sectors and a visit to an important local company, there
will be accompanied visits to Udine and Venice and also a farewell
dinner.
Requirements
- CIC Intermediate : Knowledge of Italian at intermediate level B1-B2.
- CIC Advanced : Knowledge of Italian at advanced level C1-C2
